Ready, Set Grow

What I’m Thinking About: Spring is the Season of Hope

As spring arrives and the Northern Hemisphere leans towards the sun, our days “get longer” and warmer. We get inspired to exercise more, spend time outside, plant in yards and gardens, and make positive changes in our lives. What about making positive changes in our business? Our team members may also have more energy and feel inspired to make changes. Spring is a perfect time to prepare for business growth.

Why You Might Be Thinking About This: You're Preparing to Plant the Seeds of Growth

There are no perfect businesses. Every business has areas in which they can change, grow, and thrive.

You may have to dig deep to get to healthy soil, pushing through old ideas, old ways of doing things, old habits that are in the way of growth. Or, for a new business, you may benefit by using tools to help you develop business practices and systems, identify your ideal customer, build strong teams, and/or craft a company vision. It helps to have tools to plow through ways to plant the seeds of change. There are lots of tools to help you do the digging: Strengths Weaknesses Opportunities Threats (SWOT) Analysis; Strategic Planning; Setting Specific, Measurable, Actionable, Reachable and Time-Centered (SMART) goals; Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Conscientiousness (DISC) and more.

Why It’s Worth Thinking About: Now Is Always the Time to Plan for Growth.

Business owners and employees want to grow their skills. Business owners and employees want to grow profits and customer base. Business owners and employees want to grow business competencies. Spring is a great time to use the increased daylight, energy and enthusiasm to plant the seeds of change that lead to harvesting dreams. Regardless of the season, today is always a good time to imagine a better tomorrow.
