What I’m Thinking About: Cracking Open the Book

I can’t tell you how many times I sat down with a book, article or a group of people and my first thought was, “I can’t learn anything from this. Why bother or waste my time?” But after a chapter, paragraphs or minutes, my attitude shifted to, “I better take notes. This is some good stuff!”

We have all heard the saying “Never judge a book by its cover,” and that’s wise counsel. You never know what you might gain by opening up the book and devouring some great ideas! We can learn from books with great business ideas or people with great business ideas, but we have to crack open the cover to know what’s inside.
